Amsterdam’s theme for 2007 is: Amsterdam Feel the Rhythm – Music & Dance.
All through 2007 people visiting Amsterdam will be able to enjoy a swinging music and dance party organised in the context of the 2007 Amsterdam – Feel the Rhythm tourist theme year.
There will be something to appeal to people of all tastes lovers of classical music and dance, jazz and pop fans and people who enjoy trendy dance events.
The theme year is an initiative of the Amsterdam Tourism & Convention Board (ATCB), developed in close consultation with Amsterdam’s business world and cultural sector.
When it comes to music and dance, Amsterdam ranks among the most important cities in Europe, but the Dutch capital felt the time had come to show a broader public what’s on offer in the city a unique range of acts and performances, highly impressive in terms of both quality and quantity.
Companies such as the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest, the Nationale Ballet and the Nederlandse Opera have already earned great international renown, but the new Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, the Paradiso pop temple, the jazz lover’s Walhalla the BIM-huis and dance parties such as Sensation White – the largest of its kind in the world are also rapidly acquiring great fame.
In 2007 Amsterdam will be organising a vast range of exceptional events in the fields of dance and music.
