What would you trade for a trip to Amsterdam?

DutchAmsterdam.nl — If you’re willing to part with something near and dear to your heart, you may be on your way to Amsterdam.

The Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions is partnering with the Lloyd Hotel, known for its support of innovation and design, to send you to Amsterdam, but they want to know what it is worth to you.

The winning submission will be on display at the Lloyd Hotel, and you get to experience Amsterdam’s stunning canals, incredible nightlife and amazing attractions firsthand.

To enter, submit a photo of a possession you are willing to trade in exchange for:

• Airfare for two to Amsterdam
• Three nights accommodation at the Lloyd Hotel
• Dinner for two at the Lloyd Hotel
• Daily breakfast at the Lloyd Hotel

The contest — which started on Nov. 18, 2009 and runs until Dec. 7, 2009 — is open to people at least 21 years old that reside in United States.

Hints to help with a successful submission

• A successful submission will include photos
• A successful entry will briefly explain why the submission belongs at the Lloyd Hotel and describe the object
• The Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy is known for their support of design and creativity. Successful submissions will be in line with their mission, values & aesthetic
• A successful submission could be, but is not limited to: original art or photography, antiques, literature or home furnishings
• The winner will be responsible for transporting their submission and delivering it to the Lloyd Hotel while claiming their prize.

To be eligible an entry must meet the following content / technical requirements:

• The entry must include a possession that the entrant is willing and able to give up to the Lloyd Hotel
• The entrant must be the legal owner of the submission
• Where applicable, the entrant must have the rights to distribute the submission
• The entry must be an object that can be displayed at the Lloyd Hotel
• The winning submission will not be returned to the entrant and will become property of the Lloyd Hotel
• Entries involving nudity or of a vulgar, illegal or offensive nature will not be accepted and will not be eligible to win.
