Uitmarkt 2006, the Netherlands’ largest cultural open air event, will take place from 25 through 31 August 2006.
For the first time in many years, it will be held in Amsterdam’s city centre, in theatres, concert halls and open air stages between Dam square, Nieuwmarkt and Waterlooplein.
This event is visited by half a million lovers of culture every year.
Naturally, Uitmarkt 2006 will also feature the traditional elements, such as The Remix (youth programme), the Amsterdam book market, the Literary Salon, the Temptation (theatre programme) and the information market, where art organisations can present their line-up for the coming cultural season.
