Starbucks is making good on its threat to open more stores in Amsterdam. In our opinion Starbucks serves poor quality coffee at high prices, and that's not our only beef with this chain store.

When in Amsterdam, do as the locals do, and get a lekker bakkie koffie at a koffiehuis or brown cafe.

In our opinion Starbucks Amsterdam = no stars and too many bucks.

While the chain has some fans true coffee connoisseurs will continue to shun Starbucks and instead opt for a good cup of coffee at local coffee hot spots such as Al Ponte and Lungoccino.

Starbucks has announced that it will open stores at train stations throughout the Netherlands, starting at Amsterdam Central Station.

The 33,400+ Starbucks fans at Dutch social site Hyvess are enthusiastic. Many of them have been traveling to Schiphol or even, if closer, to Germany in order to visit Starbucks.
