Jewish Historical Museum acquires its own Children’s Museum

On 17 November 2006 the Joods Historisch Museum (Jewish Historical Museum) opened its own Children’s Museum.

The successful children’s exhibition In Mokum staat een huis which the museum has for the past five years hosted in the galleries of its New Synagogue has now been granted permanent accommodation in the Obbene Shul.

In 2002 this exhibition won the museum the Prince Bernhard Culture Fund’s award for the best children’s museum.

The new Children’s Museum, which will comprise three floors and eight rooms, will serve as a meeting point for children of different cultures.
