Astrid – Gothic Clothes

Astrid is located at the famous Waterlooplein ‘flea market.’ This outdoor market is a favorite shopping spot for Amsterdammers and tourists alike.

Situated in the center of town, the Waterlooplein (‘Waterloo square’) also is home to the so-called ‘Stopera’ – the combination City Hall and Opera Theatre.

Astrid specializes in Gothic clothes, party dresses and T-shirts. Clothes can be made to order.

On sale are brand names such as: Raven, Tiger, Pamela Mann, Dark Star, Somnia, Nemesis, Diabolo, Laughing Vampire, The Dark Angel and Jungbluth.

The store carries an extensive selection of corsets, panties and stockings.

Astrid’s website includes a photo gallery that gives an impression of styles carried.

Location

You’ll find Astrid at the ‘Zwanenburgwal’ canal that borders Waterlooplein – near the bridge across from the Dantzig café, which is located at the corner of the Stopera that overlooks both the River Amstel and the Zwanenburgwal canal.

More Info

Astrid is closed on Mondays, and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Since the Waterlooplein is an outdoor market, all opening times are weather-permitting.

You can reach Astrid by phone at 06-29497092 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. (Amsterdam phone info)
