U2 adds second Amsterdam date to 360-degrees tour

DutchAmsterdam.nl — Tickets for the July 20th U2 concert in the Amsterdam Arena stadium were sold out within 10 minutes.

The tickets went on sale last Saturday.

Organizer Mojo Concerts says a second concert has now been planned, to take place a day later at the same stadium. Tickets are already on sale, but the concert organizer’s website is frequently overloaded. [Update, Mar. 15: sold out! ]

U2’s previous concert in Holland saw 150.000 tickets sold out in 80 minutes.

A second concert date, July 25th, has also been announced at the Croke Park venue in Dublin, Ireland.

The concerts are part of the group’s 360° tour, highlighting U2’s latest album, No Line On The Horizon.

Mojo Concerts says on its website that U2 considers the normal ending time of 11 pm too early, and will thus play longer than most groups do at the stadium — something to keep in mind for those planning to use public transport.
