Amsterdam diamond dealer dies during robbery

DutchAmsterdam.nl — A 54-year old private diamond dealer has died during a robbery at 4:00 this morning at his home in Amsterdam East.

Police this afternoon has not yet said how the man died.

A company named Jawa Jewellers is registered at the man’s home address.

Police has not said whether the house had an alarm system, or whether anything is missing.

One of the man’s neighbors said she initially thought police was taking action against drug dealers who often gather in the home’s portico.

Other neighbors say they heard much noise coming from the house last night.
