Hydrofoil passenger ferry has accident; captains unskilled, former captains claim
February 2, 2009 News
A hydrofoil passenger ferry that runs between Amsterdam and IJmuiden-Velsen has had a one-sided accident this morning. It is the third accident involving one of the ferries since 2003.
Two former captains tell a local newspaper that four of the eight captains employed by the public transport company that operates the ferry service do not have the necessary skills to handle hydrofoil boats.
