Expats, tourists and Dutch locals alike will be viewing and/or toasting the inauguration of Barack Obama — either at home following along on live TV, or at any of a number of inauguration events throughout the city.
Despite the love/hate relationship most Dutch citizens have with the USA, we join our American friends in celebrating the departure of George Bush — and we congratulate you on electing Barack Obama.
